Role overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and reliable Production Operative to join our manufacturing team.

As a Fabricator, you’ll play a vital role in manufacturing high-quality windows and doors that are supplied to customers across the UK.

Working as part of a busy production team, you’ll carry out a variety of manufacturing and assembly tasks, ensuring products are built safely, efficiently and to the high quality standards our customers expect.

Whether you’re joining us with previous manufacturing experience or transferable skills and a willingness to learn, you’ll receive the training and support needed to develop within the role.

Key responsibilities

  • Manufacture and assemble u PVC and aluminium windows and doors in accordance with production specifications and quality standards.
  • Safely operate production machinery, equipment and hand tools following company procedures and training.
  • Read and interpret production paperwork, work instructions and technical drawings where required.
  • Carry out production tasks accurately whilst working to agreed quality, productivity and delivery targets.
  • Complete product assembly, preparation, finishing and packaging activities to the required standard.
  • Identify and report defects, damaged materials or equipment issues to your Team Leader.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation within your work area.
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures, using equipment safely and reporting hazards, accidents or near misses promptly.
  • Support colleagues across different production areas when required to meet customer demand.
  • Contribute positively to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality or efficiency.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by learning new processes and supporting different departments as business needs require.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties to support the Production department. Assist other production lines when required to support operational efficiency.
