Purpose
: Here at Deichmann, we are looking to appoint a Trainee Manager. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and will receive an initial salary of £29,500 per annum.
Initially based in the Rochdale store, following training, you will support and oversee stores either on a planned or adhoc basis across the surrounding area including Bury, Stockport, and Manchester. Ideal candidate: This is a really exciting opportunity for a successful and ambitious Team Member or Supervisor, looking to progress their career into Store Management.
You will undergo first-class training and development, including managing stores on a planned and ad hoc basis, with a view to potentially becoming a Cover Manager at the end of your training, and then possibly progressing to Store Manager of your own store.
You must be fully flexible in terms of travel, as you will work in multiple stores, and you should have previous experience in retail or a related sector. You need to be able to problem-solve, think on your feet, be a people person, and have the ability to plan and coordinate resources. Passion for delivering exceptional customer service is essential.
Key activities:
- Motivate and coach the team to deliver excellent customer service
- Lead by example in promoting and recommending shoe care products, demonstrating confidence in selling and product knowledge
- Resourcing / drafting rotas within budget
- Stock management
- Analyzing sales performance data and reports
- Making recommendations to improve sales based on data and customer insights
- Ensure all company standards are maintained (merchandising, admin)
- Support KPI delivery and meet company standards
- Assist in recruitment and training of the team
