Purpose

Deichmann are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Sales Assistant to join the team in our York store.

You will be offered a competitive hourly rate of up to £12.41 per hour + non-contractual, hourly sales commission.

This is a part-time, permanent position with a contracted 8 hours per week. Ideal candidate:

• You will have a positive attitude towards providing exceptional customer service, work well within a team, have the stamina for a fast-paced shop floor, and work calmly under pressure.

Key activities

• Approaching customers and providing helpful, knowledgeable information on products.
• Serving customers at the till and processing sales transactions.
• Recommending and promoting complementary products with each sale.
• Collaborating with your team to achieve store sales targets and KPIs.
• Replenishing stock to ensure shelves are always full.
• Processing stock deliveries promptly.
• Keeping the shop floor clean and tidy to a high standard.
• Performing additional ad hoc duties as required.
