Here at Deichmann we are looking for a Junior Buyer to join the Buying Team at our Head Office in Market Harborough.
As a Junior Buyer at Deichmann, you’ll dive into the world of forecasting, supplier negotiations and product development.
This is a full time, permanent position and you will be required to work from the office 5 days per week.

Key activities:
- Relationship Management: both internally and externally will be vital. Building strong relationships with our supplier base to maximise commercial opportunities.
- Commercial Awareness: Awareness of the market is key, keeping on top of the latest trends and monitoring our competitors.
- Product Development: Work closely with our supplier base to develop a well-balanced and commercial product range.
- Achieving KPI’s: Manage and review product pricing, ensuring that our prices are competitive as well as maximising margins.
- Reviewing Performance: Regularly reviewing trading performance, acting proactively to optimise and opportunities or mitigate any risks.
- Team Development: Lead, motivate and coach your buying assistant through regular one-to-ones, reviews and clear objective setting.
Personal characteristics:
- Proven experience within buying at assistant or junior level.
- A tenacious, positive attitude with a willingness for continuous improvement in the role, and a desire to develop yourself and members of assistant level.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, self-motivated individual which a flexible approach to managing high workload.
Salary/Pay:
£30,500 + a company car.
