Sales Assistant

Deichmann are seeking enthusiastic and passionate Sales Assistants to join the team in our brand new store, opening soon in Bedford. You will be offered a competitive hourly rate of up to £11.64 per hour + non contractual, hourly sales commission. At Deichmann, our Sales Assistants play a vital role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience to our customers. We have various full time and part time contracts available. As this is a brand new store, your training will take place in our Luton Store, ahead of the Bedford store scheduled opening for April 2025. Ideal candidate: If you have energy, drive and passion to work in a fast paced, customer facing, retail environment, this is the role for you! You will have a positive attitude towards providing exceptional customer service, the ability to work well within a team, the stamina to work on a fast-paced shop floor and the capacity to work calmly under pressure. Key activities: * Approaching customers, providing helpful and knowledgeable information on our products. * Serving customers at the till – processing sales transactions. * Recommending and promoting complimentary products with each sale. * Collaborating with your team to achieve store sales targets and KPI’s. * Continuous stock replenishment to ensure the shelves are always full. * Processing of stock deliveries in a timely manner. * Ensuring that the shop floor is always kept clean & tidy, to a high standard. * Any additional ad hoc duties, as and when required. Personal characteristics: * A positive, can do attitude. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Willingness to approach and serve all customers. * The drive to exceed monthly performance targets. * Methodical approach to completing daily tasks. * High levels of attention to detail. * The ability to work both individually and as part of a diverse team. * The flexibility to work any day across the week (Monday – Sunday).
