About the Role

Degreed's Professional Services team is looking for a Senior Implementation Consultant to lead complex enterprise implementations with a high degree of autonomy. Serving as a delivery lead and trusted advisor, you will guide complex, multi-stakeholder engagements and translate business objectives into effective platform solutions. You will leverage your profound platform expertise to contribute beyond your direct portfolio by spearheading internal initiatives, mentoring Implementation Consultants, and expanding the team's delivery capabilities. This is a senior voice on the implementation team, with a clear path toward Principal or Team Lead. Degreed's engagements sit at the intersection of learning strategy and AI-powered configuration. Your work will extend past basic system deployment to leading discovery sessions that establish clear, quantifiable results.

Key Skills

  • Enterprise SaaS delivery: a strong track record of steering complex implementations and managing direct delivery for large-scale enterprise clients in a professional services capacity.
  • Cross-functional project ownership: Demonstrated ability to coordinate initiatives and own multiple concurrent workstreams spanning functional, technical, and business stakeholders.
  • Enterprise implementation leadership: proven expertise directing multi-stream software-as-a-service initiatives across business, functional, and technical groups during sophisticated rollouts.
  • Executive stakeholder communication: fluency in translating platform capability into business strategy for VP- and C-level audiences.
  • Learning ecosystem architecture: working knowledge of how LMS, LXP, content providers, skills platforms, and HRIS systems connect and exchange data.
  • AI use case design: understanding of how to define use cases for AI-enabled features and set measurable success criteria within an enterprise governance framework.
  • Risk and scope management: proficiency in identifying delivery risk early and negotiating scope changes without stalling a project.
  • Workshop facilitation: skilled at running discovery sessions that surface learning strategy, AI use cases, and value hypotheses with client stakeholders.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools and technologies: proven ability to integrate AI utilities into daily tasks (configuration strategies, client materials, research, progress tracking) as an established routine.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience implementing Degreed or similar learning experience platforms
  • Background in Learning & Development strategy or organizational change management
  • Familiarity with HR technology ecosystems and enterprise data integrations
  • Experience delivering implementations in North American and Latin American markets
  • Proficiency in a language beyond English
  • Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile

Key Responsibilities

Client Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end implementations for enterprise customers, owning platform configuration across Degreed platform solutions
  • Facilitate discovery workshops that define learning strategy, AI use cases, and measurable outcomes with client stakeholders
  • Partner with Technical Consultants on integration strategy, including SSO, HRIS feeds, and content integrations
  • Monitor implementation health, surfaces risk early, and manage escalations with minimal oversight

Project Management

  • Own project plans, RAID logs, and executive status reporting for complex, multi-stakeholder engagements
  • Manage scope and change requests across technical, functional, and business audiences
  • Identify opportunities for expanded services or additional platform adoption, in partnership with the Revenue team
  • Run project retrospectives and turn lessons learned into delivery improvements

Team Contribution & AI Practice

  • Mentor Implementation Consultants on platform configuration, delivery practices, and client communication
  • Build reusable playbooks and enablement content for the wider implementation team
  • Contribute at least one tested AI-driven idea per quarter to improve delivery efficiency or client experience
  • Advocate for data hygiene practices across the team and in your own daily tasks to ensure the reliability of AI-assisted analysis.
