We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner specialising in Compensation, Benefits & Reward to join a leading organisation within the Reinsurance sector on an initial six-month fixed-term contract.


This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Reward professional with genuine Remuneration Committee (RemCo) experience to take ownership of several high-profile compensation and reward projects with significant senior leadership exposure.


Youll be joining a collaborative, experienced HR team where youll have the freedom to bring your expertise, challenge existing thinking and deliver meaningful change.


The package is up to c.£90,000 pro rata + benefits, with potential flexibility for an exceptional candidate bringing particularly strong RemCo, executive compensation and financial services Reward experience.

Your Reward & RemCo Projects


Youll take ownership of a number of important initiatives, including:



  • Developing the strategy and design for a return to an Individual Ratings approach

  • Designing a new Personal Goals & Incentives Scheme ahead of its planned introduction in April 2027

  • Developing the plan for the 2027 Remuneration Committee review

  • Preparing and supporting high-quality RemCo papers and remuneration documentation

  • Supporting executive compensation activity

  • Developing and reviewing bonus and incentive models

  • Conducting salary and market benchmarking

  • Reviewing maternity and paternity pay arrangements

  • Supporting Reward and HR-related audits

  • Reviewing the existing payroll provider and associated governance

  • Supporting implementation of a new People Services Portal

  • Contributing to broader HR projects where your expertise can add value


What We're Looking For


We're particularly interested in speaking with Compensation & Benefits, Reward and HR professionals who have operated within a sophisticated, regulated environment.


Youll ideally bring:



  • Strong experience across Compensation, Benefits & Reward

  • Direct experience supporting Remuneration Committees (RemCo)

  • Experience preparing RemCo papers and supporting committee reviews

  • Strong knowledge of executive compensation

  • Experience designing and reviewing bonus and incentive schemes

  • Knowledge of individual performance ratings and objectives

  • Strong salary benchmarking and market analysis experience

  • Experience with payroll governance and provider reviews

  • Exposure to HR and/or Reward audits

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including working with senior executives


Sector Experience


Experience within one or more of the following would be particularly attractive:



  • Reinsurance

  • Insurance

  • Lloyd's / London Market

  • Banking

  • Asset Management

  • Specialist Financial Services


Previous experience operating within a regulated financial services environment will be highly advantageous.


The Person


This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit quietly behind spreadsheets and wait for instructions.


Youll be a self-starter who can quickly understand the organisation, establish priorities and take ownership of projects.
