We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Platform Engineer to join Definely during a pivotal stage of growth. Senior Platform Engineers get involved with the whole product infrastructure and tooling, building out novel and scalable solutions for engineers and customers. We’re also responsible for reliability, security and automation.
What you’ll do:
- Own the operational performance of our systems, analysing repetitive work and toil, and automating where most advantageous.
- Manage our CI/CD system and improve the developer experience whilst maintaining error budgets and deployment safety.
- Design and architect our platform to support product needs at a strategic level.
- Build a highly robust cloud environment (mostly AWS) through IaC, automation and best-fit architectures.
- Lead projects of improvement to our platform and ensuring delivery according to plan.
- Collaborate closely with product engineering, security and leadership teams across the business.
What you’ll bring:
- Strong experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure roles.
- Expertise in Cloud tools and services (AWS is our primary cloud).
- Deep understanding of DevOps SRE practices.
- Directing and architecting robust and resilient cloud services through IaC (we use Terraform).
- Knowledge of highly performant and strongly governed CI/CD practices and tooling.
- Ability to lead technical projects and make pragmatic architectural decisions.
We’ll be lucky if you:
- Have experience with security products and tooling, and DevSecOps experience in a highly dynamic environment.
- Have experience leading incident response and post incident reviews.
- Deep experience with data platforms (databases, queues, caches, storage etc.).
- Have experience building AI/ML infrastructure or workloads.
- Have worked in high growth SaaS or startup environments.
