This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a model-based systems engineering (MBSE) approach , being implemented for the first time on a UK submarine platform . As part of our growing team, you\’ll play a key role in integrating complex systems that support full submarine operations-critical to the success of one of the largest and most advanced defence programmes in the UK . We\’re actively hiring across multiple engineering disciplines to support this national mission. What You\’ll Be Doing: Designing and maintaining requirements, architectures, and system designs for complex technical systems Creating SysML views to represent interactions between systems within the submarine platform Supporting the development and effective use of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) artefacts across multiple product lines Developing and owning key system design elements and related engineering products that contribute directly to customer success Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define system functions, requirements, and design elements for optimal performance in highly constrained environments Breaking down complex designs into clear, manageable components for further development Contributing to all stages of the project lifecycle-from planning and development through to delivery and operational readiness Your Skills and Experience: A degree (or equivalent experience) in a STEM discipline Strong working knowledge of SysML Hands-on experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools , particularly Enterprise Architect Solid understanding of systems engineering principles and systems thinking Familiarity with the engineering system lifecycle and standards such as ISO/IEC 15288 Benefits on offer: You\’ll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including: A competitive pension scheme Enhanced annual leave allowance Company-contributed Share Incentive Plan In addition, you\’ll have access to a range of flexible and supportive options, such as: Hybrid and flexible working arrangements Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Cycle to Work scheme Retail and lifestyle discounts Potential eligibility for an annual performance-based incentive Please reach out for further questions, I would encourage you to apply for this role even if you feel like you aren\’t hitting all of the criteria!
