Our client, a leading company in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking an experienced Industrial (Steam) Pipefitter to join their operations and maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance to ensure operational availability of Portsmouth Naval Base.
  • Installation and replacement of pipework in compliance with current PSSR regulations.
  • Deliver maintenance and repair work within O&M KPI boundaries.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, managing their expectations and needs.
  • Provide direct and regular feedback to the Team Leader regarding issues or delays.
  • Manage and deliver tasks assigned via the Mobiess Application.
  • Assist the maintenance team as required with a proactive and can-do attitude.
  • Ensure best engineering practices for maintenance, overhaul, repair, and installation.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience and knowledge in industrial pipe fitting.
  • Competence in using threading machines and similar tooling.
  • Experience in heating industry and in carrying out mechanical maintenance.
  • Experience in fault finding on steam systems.
  • Understanding of technical specifications and safe systems of work.
  • Knowledge and application of Health and Safety best practices.
  • Security clearance or the ability to obtain it.
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 or relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Full UK driving licence.
