Join a growing engineering team where you'll play a key hands-on role in building and supporting a range of bespoke, high-spec electronic and mechanical products. Working on complex assemblies from early prototypes through to delivered hardware, you'll help ensure every build meets our exacting standards for quality, accuracy and on-time delivery.
What you'll do
- Assemble and test intricate electronic and mechanical builds, working confidently from detailed drawings, build files and technical instructions.
- Support new product introduction activities, interpreting early design packs and providing feedback to engineering.
- Carry out precision wiring, soldering and loom-forming to IPC Class 3 standards, including inspection and defect identification.
- Verify components, sub-assemblies and tooling, ensuring all work meets required tolerances and quality criteria.
- Perform calibration checks on crimp tools, torque equipment and relevant shop-floor instruments.
- Maintain a safe, organised and compliant work area while contributing to continuous improvement across the team.
- Assist wider operations as needed - including goods in, facilities support, stock handling and customer interaction.
What you'll need
- Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance.
- Strong practical experience in electronic and mechanical assembly, repair or modification.
- Confident reading and understanding technical drawings, wiring schematics and work instructions.
- Skilled with hand tools, test equipment and electronic components.
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 standards.
- A practical, proactive approach and the ability to work independently with accuracy and pride in your workmanship.
