Our client, a leading marine equipment designer and manufacturer, is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on defence technology within the marine engineering sector and be part of innovative projects at a state-of-the-art facility in Gosport.
Guiding other team members and coordinating subject-matter experts through design reviews, including running pre-reviews and chairing internal or lower-level customer reviews.
Applying safety engineering tools across the project lifecycle, including compiling HAZID outputs and contributing to Design Safety Cases.
Job
Requirements: Significant experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on design within the marine sector.
Proficiency in Siemens NX for creating technical drawings and 3D models.
Knowledge of geometric dimensioning, tolerancing, and configuration control using Teamcenter.
Experience with design for manufacture (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA), including cable runs, space claims, and interface management.
Experience in concept design and development, simulation and modelling techniques.
HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or equivalent experience.
