The role:
- Lead manufacturing engineering activities for NPI builds from bid/proposal through to full-rate production.
- Take ownership of schedule, cost, quality, and manufacturing best practice.
- Act as the technical manufacturing authority during NPI execution.
- Ensure products are production-ready, robust, and optimised before release.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- HND (minimum) in Manufacturing, Production Engineering, or related discipline.
- Strong background in electro-mechanical manufacturing or Electronics.
- Broad understanding of electronic and electro-mechanical product design.
- Proven contribution to production efficiency, optimisation, and improvement.
- Solid knowledge of: Design for Excellence (DfX) / Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement / Six Sigma principles.
- Experience with process FMEA and risk-based manufacturing decisions.
Desirable Experience:
- Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) processes.
- Experience across multiple manufacturing technologies and platforms.
