Job Title: TacSys Case Officer
Location: Hybrid (2 days per week onsite at Abbey Wood)

Role Overview
The TacSys Case Officer is responsible for orchestrating the gathering and presentation of technical evidence to support the assurance of capabilities in line with JSP 453 (Digital Policies and Standards for Defence), JSP 604 (Network Joining Rules), and other relevant ICT security policies. The role facilitates obtaining approvals from the Digital Enterprise Authority Board (DEAB) for TacSys capabilities to connect to MOD enterprise information systems, covering integration testing (Authority to Test – AtT) and in-service operations (Authority to Operate – AtO).

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in project triage to define applicable assurance scope.
  • Engage regularly with project teams to provide guidance on assurance routes.
  • Collaborate with Rule Owners to identify and mitigate compliance concerns.
  • Collate, analyse, and present supporting technical evidence for DEAB approvals.
  • Acquire and maintain deep policy expertise (JSP 453 & JSP 604) to act as the primary consultancy point within TacSys.
  • Assess project applicability against policy, determining the level of approval required.
  • Establish DEAB milestones with projects to manage timelines, activities, and resources.
  • Facilitate workshops with project teams, Rule Owners, and Control SMEs to ensure policy compliance.
  • Support and oversee subcontractor evidence collation for DEAB submissions.
  • Facilitate and approve the Technical Release Readiness Assessment (TRRA) documentation.
  • Provide support to the Joint System Integration Body (JSIB) to assure policy compliance.
  • Offer consultancy and advice to interfacing non-TacSys projects.
