Our client, a leading name in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a talented Electrical CAD Engineer for a contract role. This exciting opportunity will see you join the Design Team of the SV Programme and Wheeled vehicles, where your contribution will emphasise safety, cost-efficiency, and ease of manufacture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce design solutions including concepts, packaging, and platform installation design.
- Maintain the integrity of the design solution, ensuring safety.
- Support the design process throughout the project lifecycle.
- Align CAD to BoM at Platform Level.
- Manage BoM at platform level.
- Implement Engineering Design Changes.
- Ensure installation design solutions fulfil vehicle requirements.
- Prepare material for internal and external design reviews.
- Communicate design options and constraints effectively to the Lead Engineer.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in electrical engineering and design, particularly within the defence sector.
- Proficient in CAD software, ideally Pro Engineer Wildfire4/Creo/Creo 3.
- Proficient user of Windchill PDMLink.
- Experience in the design and development of mechanical components and systems.
- Ability to produce detailed design drawings.
- Strong understanding of BoM management and maintenance.
- Experience with military vehicle design (desirable).
- Understanding of standards related to defence work, such as Defence Standards (desirable).
