We are seeking talented Systems Engineers to join our expanding team, working at the forefront of advanced sensing and guidance technologies for complex defence systems. In this role, you will contribute to a range of activities including system modelling and simulation, algorithm development, performance assessment, and engineering studies. Our work spans the entire sensing and guidance capability chain from signal propagation and hardware performance through to the embedded software algorithms deployed on-board the system.
Using model-based design approaches, algorithms are developed and automatically coded directly from our models, enabling rapid prototyping, testing, iteration, and delivery of cutting-edge capability. You will have the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of programmes. Beyond project delivery, you may also support laboratory testing, system integration activities, and field trials, providing exposure to the full engineering lifecycle.
The role offers excellent opportunities for professional development, career progression, and collaboration with stakeholders across a dynamic, multi-disciplinary and international engineering community. For experienced engineers, there are additional opportunities to lead technical work packages, mentor colleagues, and develop team leadership capabilities.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Degree qualification in a STEM discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong modelling and software development skills, particularly in MATLAB.
- Experience in algorithm development and implementation.
- Data analysis, interpretation, and technical report writing.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, with a passion for solving complex engineering challenges.
Desirable Experience:
- Advanced MATLAB expertise.
- Proficiency in Simulink and Embedded Coder.
- Software or firmware development experience, particularly in C and HDL.
- Understanding of RF systems and digital signal processing.
- Experience with model verification, configuration management, and release processes.
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI) and automated testing practices.
- Experience applying Machine Learning and AI techniques within engineering environments.
