AECOM has recently been named as one of two Primary Designers for Scottish Water’s SR27 Enterprise. This transformational, multi-billion-pound programme is the highest value venture ever put into place by Scottish Water and will reshape Scotland’s water and wastewater infrastructure from 2027 to 2033 (with potential to extend for another 6 years). AECOM’s Structures team is looking for passionate Principal and Associate Structural Engineers who thrive on tackling complex challenges and inspiring others. These aren’t “cog in the machine” roles—you’ll lead, mentor, and make a real impact. From guiding junior engineers to acting as the structural lead on diverse projects, you’ll collaborate across a multidisciplinary network spanning civil, structural, MEICA, hydraulic modelling, and digital engineering.

Qualifications

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Civil and/or Structural Engineering, or a similar discipline
  • Proven experience in structural engineering design
  • Experience in the design and construction of reinforced concrete structures and structural steelwork
