Role overview
We are looking for people who can build a quality, reliable sales pipeline as part of our New Business Sales team. You will report to the Head of New Business and work alongside 2 other Business Development Associates.
What you will do:
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of the UK financial services industry and of the opportunities, challenges and needs of Advisers and Investment managers.
- Build detailed knowledge of Defaqto's products and services and how they can deliver high levels of value to prospects.
- Develop an understanding of the competitive landscape in which Defaqto operates.
- Determine and use appropriate sales tactics to ensure that key metrics are hit (in terms of identifying leads, qualified meetings, pipeline) and conversion targets are met.
- Plan strategy for multi-channel outreach (mix of calls, emails and LinkedIn) to prospects.
- For each lead identified, develop a clear understanding of the customer's needs and promote appropriate products and services to meet those needs.
- Complete all sales administration activities, including setting up and updating customer records in CRM and diarising and logging all customer-related activity.
What you will need to succeed:
- Some experience and aptitude for selling, ideally in a telephone based role, minimum of 12 months.
- Knowledge and/or interest in financial services sector are preferred - you will be reaching out to professional prospects right across financial services, from banks and general insurers to financial advisers.
- Strong organisational skills.
