We have an excellent opportunity for an Excel and data whizz to support our Product team on a 3-month fixed term contract. This would suit a candidate looking to build experience in a data-focused role.
Essential experience:
- Demonstrable understanding of data services via a STEM or other numerate degree or with at least a couple of years' experience in market or customer focused data services
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Desirable experience:
- Tableau, Power BI or other visualisation tools
- Visual Basic
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Ability to manipulate, process and extract value from large, disconnected datasets
What you'll do:
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports before distribution to our clients
- Engage with clients to assist with ad-hoc data requests
- Support change management processes and task prioritisation
- Monitor system performance and highlight issues
- Use available monitoring tools and reporting to identify issue causes
- Liaise with the development team to aid with reconciliation and troubleshooting
- Support the design, build and maintenance of reports and dashboards for use by clients, and within the business
- Test new product developments, including metrics and dashboards
- Provide input into system and process development to support new sectors
- Take steps towards continuous improvement in market pricing processes
What you'll need to succeed:
- Graduate with a STEM or relevant degree OR 2+ years’ relevant industry experience in market or customer focused data services
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication with a proven ability to quickly build and maintain positive, effective relationships across all levels
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Desirable:
- Tableau / Power BI or other visualisation tools
- Exposure to Visual Basic
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Ability manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets is a plus

Role type & location:
This is a 3-month fixed term contract to cover a sabbatical. It is a hybrid position based from our London office so you'll need to be able to work with colleagues in the office each week.
