About The Role
Sapphire Utility Solutions are seeking a Depot Manager for our Traffic Management workstream based in Leeds, West Yorkshire on our new Yorkshire Water contract. The Depot Manager is responsible for all activities within the depot, ensuring that the contractual terms for our client are adhered to. As a Depot Manager, you will oversee all day-to-day activities in the depot liaising directly with the Regional Manager to ensure all client KPIs are met and the depot functions in a profitable, safe manner. The works are a mixture of reactive and planned.
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm)
Salary: £43,000 per annum
Responsibilities - But Not Limited To:
- To supervise all operatives to ensure a high standard of work is maintained.
- Ensure all 12D paperwork is completed legibly and returned to the relevant department.
- Perform site-specific checks on all site set-ups that have been carried out that week to ensure safety and compliance.
- Ensure the depot is clean and staff welfare facilities are in working order.
- Responsible for daily form checks on vehicle locks, vehicle checks, and defects.
- Ensure all daily vehicle checks are completed.
- You will ensure the completion of a site audit per team per month, working with the Operations Manager to ensure LRQA compliance.
- You will ensure 24/7 call-out service is always available via the rota system already agreed.
- Deliver team compliance briefs with the Operations Manager. Also, provide input for the monthly/bimonthly team brief for the Operations Manager.
- You will ensure the depot remains compliant with customer KPIs.
- Ensuring that all SLAs are met.
- On hire/off hire and MOS bookings are correct.
- All shifts out of hours and standby are covered.
- Rosters are kept up to date.
- All time sheets are approved and checked.
- Work closely with the operations team to recruit staff and ensure all members of staff receive the appropriate training.
- Attend client site visits and complete site surveys.
- Maintain a good working relationship with all clients.
- Any HR issues file notes or investigations.
Experience And Qualifications Required For The Role:
- You must have a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Confident in systems and functions.
- Experience of leading and supervising a team.
- To hold NRSWA accreditation.
- LANTRA 12ABCD.
- Knowledge of permit schemes.
