About the Role
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, this role supports the safe and efficient delivery of timber-frame erection projects within Deeside Timberframe. You will oversee day-to-day site activity, manage subcontractors, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with Health & Safety and technical standards. Working with internal teams, you'll help keep projects on programme and contribute to high-quality builds. Based out of our Warrington office, this role will primarily operate across England and Wales, with occasional travel to our other office locations in Stonehaven, Stirling, and associated sites. Additional travel may be required to support future business growth and emerging project locations. Given current workload, the ideal candidate will be based in the North East of England.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of Health and Safety onsite. Support will also be provided by Group HSQE resource.
- Prepare, monitor and update site Health and Safety documentation.
- Prepare crane lifting plans (Training can be given).
- Programming of timber frame erect projects. Provide updates and monitor progress.
- Regular liaison with the line manager / director, design, procurement, surveying and estimating staff on issues as necessary.
- Contribute to CVR monitoring by surveying staff.
- Management of subcontracts on site.
- Co-ordination of materials being delivered to site. This may include roughing materials, finishing materials and window installation.
- Produce weekly site reports and completion of DTL documentation consistent with agreed systems and processes including checking, handover and signing off of kits.
- Maintenance of all files and records relating to the contracts.
- Maintenance of Procore Project Management Software.
- Attend pre-award, pre-start, and site progress meetings.
- Attend DTL internal management meetings and project specific meetings.
- Ensure compliance with technical specification. (NHBC / STA etc).
- Ensure compliance with client requirements and specification, customer care and rectification of any issues arising.
- Ensure quality of build and erect procedures.
- Assist and participate in implementation and reviews of company processes and procedures.
- Contribute and assist with any growth plans and future developments of the business.
Skills & Attributes
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe site practices.
- Proven supervisory experience, ideally within timber‐frame construction.
- Solid knowledge of timber‐frame construction methods.
- Background in erecting or subcontracting is advantageous.
- Awareness of compliance requirements and quality standards in construction environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self‐motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Flexible, adaptable, and solutions‐focused.
- Demonstrates a proactive approach and delivers results.
- SSSTS/SMTS and CSCS desirable but not essential.
