Overview

We're looking for two proactive Site Managers to join Bancon Construction and Bancon Homes, playing a key role in delivering high-quality housing projects. These are great opportunities for experienced Site Managers to join our busy and expanding site teams. One role will focus on delivering affordable social housing projects within Bancon Construction, while the other will support private housing developments with Bancon Homes.

You will be responsible for managing sites from start to completion, demonstrating effective leadership of the workforce (including subcontractors) while ensuring safety, production, profitability, and quality targets are consistently achieved.

Role

  • Developing and implementing safe systems of work for all site activities
  • Supervising the quality of the works and handing over a defect free building
  • Managing labour (including sub-contractors) and maintaining high productivity
  • Checking and correcting time sheets and allocation sheets
  • Working closely with the project team, providing necessary input to allow the Quantity Surveyor to report on the current and projected financial status of the project
  • Calling off materials as required in a timely manner
  • Day to day planning of operations and problem solving
  • Attending meetings as required at the site and area offices

Qualifications and experience

  • Mandatory qualifications: SMSTS, First Aid at Work and Managerial CSCS card
  • Preferrable qualifications: Scaffold Awareness and Temporary Works Supervisor
  • Previous housebuilding site management experience is essential
  • Up to date relevant knowledge of health and safety legislation and NHBC requirements
  • Commercial awareness
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Current and valid UK driving licence
