We are seeking to appoint a new colleague to undertake the role of Headteacher\’s Personal Assistant and Admissions\’ Secretary at the school, ideally to start on Monday 1 September 2025, subject to the necessary employment checks and any notice period required by the successful applicant. This pivotal role sits at the heart of school life. It is an exciting time to join the staff, as the new Headteacher\’s PA and Admissions\’ Secretary will join the school at the same time as Esther Messinger , who has been appointed to the post of Headteacher from 1 September 2025.

The successful applicant will join a dedicated, well-established team of staff and will be required to provide a high-quality administrative service to the Headteacher always ensuring discretion and respecting confidentiality. Applicants will need to be highly organised with excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills, and be able to show resourcefulness in dealing with deadlines and priorities in a busy environment. Your organisational excellence and personal discretion will help ensure the smooth and professional operation of the leadership team, while your warm and efficient handling of Year 7 and in-year admissions plays a key role in welcoming new families into our school community.

It is anticipated that the postholder will work 37.5 hours per week working from 8:30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday with a 30 minute lunch break each day. However, there will be some flexibility to adjust these hours to accommodate personal circumstances and to meet the operational needs of the school. The post is term time plus one week for Inset Days plus a further two weeks worked across the year during the school holidays. You will need excellent computer skills and be a competent user of Microsoft Word (especially the use of mail merge) and Outlook. Experience of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint would be an advantage. Previous experience of working in a school environment and the use of Bromcom (school specific administration software) would be an advantage, but training on Bromcom can be provided as required.

The post is Grade 6 (point range 15-20) with an actual salary for 37.5 hours per week between £26,601 – £28,880 per annum, depending on experience, based on 47.04 weeks per year, which includes 6.04 weeks paid holiday.
