The Role
- Deliver Linux-based projects end-to-end: scope, proof-of-concept, implementation, and optimisation.
- Provide 3rd-line (expert-level) support across high-performance and virtualised environments.
- Research and integrate new technologies - including GPU compute, automation, and immersion cooling.
- Lead stand-ups and updates when deputising for leadership, ensuring clear stakeholder communication.
- Mentor and collaborate with a technically strong, close-knit team.
About You
- Solid Linux administration and engineering skills (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
- Experience across HPC, clustering, or complex multi-node systems.
- Skills with Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack, and scripting (Bash/Python).
- Confident communicator; able to present, lead discussions, and drive improvements.
- Ready to step into a leadership/deputy position while remaining hands-on technically.
