Are you an experienced Oracle DBA with deep Linux and AIX expertise, looking for an opportunity to work on mission-critical banking platforms in a highly regulated financial environment? Working within a highly skilled IT infrastructure team, you’ll take ownership of complex Oracle database environments, Linux and AIX administration, and the ongoing stability and performance of critical banking applications including Oracle Flexcube and Oracle ERP. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, working across high-availability environments, and contributing to the resilience and scalability of critical financial systems, this could be the ideal next move for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Administering, optimising and supporting Oracle databases within mission-critical banking environments
- Managing and maintaining Red Hat Linux and IBM AIX server infrastructure hosting core banking applications
- Performing database and OS patching, upgrades, performance tuning and capacity optimisation
- Supporting Oracle Flexcube and Oracle ERP platforms to ensure high availability and operational resilience
- Implementing and managing Oracle backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Data Guard
- Troubleshooting complex infrastructure and database issues in collaboration with application and infrastructure teams
- Automating operational tasks through shell scripting and system administration tooling
- Supporting disaster recovery planning, testing and incident response activities
- Ensuring systems remain compliant with internal security standards and regulatory requirements
- Producing and maintaining technical documentation, procedures and operational runbooks
What You’ll Need
- Strong experience as an Oracle DBA within enterprise or banking environments
- Proven expertise with Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard and Oracle performance tuning
- Hands-on Linux administration experience (RHEL or Oracle Linux)
- Strong IBM AIX system administration experience
- Advanced SQL, Oracle PL/SQL and Unix shell scripting skills
- Experience supporting Oracle Flexcube environments
- Strong understanding of banking infrastructure and financial systems architecture
- Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as OEM and Nagios
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management practices
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Desirable
- Experience with Oracle WebLogic
- Exposure to automation and configuration management tooling
