You'll own AWS and Kubernetes environments end to end, in a small team where every engineer has a visible impact.You'll join a team of 3 within an 18-person engineering team, reporting to the Engineering Manager and working closely with the CTO. With no team lead above you for the next 24 months, you'll have real autonomy. It's a permanent role in Oxfordshire, hybrid with 2 days a week in the office.What You'll Be DoingArchitecting and maintaining multi-account, multi-region AWS environments using Terraform and HelmRunning Kubernetes clusters (EKS and OpenShift), registries and service meshes, with zero-touch deployments through GitHub Actions and Argo CDLeading security posture reviews and hardening with GuardDuty, CloudWatch and IAMOwning observability, alerting, backup and disaster recovery, including annual restore drillsDriving cost and capacity optimisation, and owning the audits that keep the company aligned with its certificationsCoordinating incident response and mentoring developers in DevSecOps practiceWhat You'll BringProven DevOps or SRE experience with a recent focus on AWS cloud engineeringStrong Kubernetes administration (EKS and OpenShift), including on-premises setup, plus HelmStrong Terraform, GitHub Actions and Argo CD, with Docker and LinuxSolid Nexus experience and SSO implementation across industry-standard softwareScripting in Bash and Python or Go, and experience integrating SAST and DASTDesirable: MLOps or LLMOps (SageMaker, Kubeflow, ZenML), Prometheus observability, AWS Karpenter, ISO 27001, NIST SSDF, OWASP SAMM, active SC or DV clearanceWhat's On OfferCompany pension with 4% employer contributionPrivate healthcare29 days holiday plus public holidaysHybrid working, 2 days a week in the officePlease note: You must be eligible for UK security clearance (BPSS and SC), which requires a UK passport and 5 years of continuous UK residency.
