Overview: We are seeking a motivated, innovative, and highly professional Financial Planner to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience within a Financial Planning firm, hold a Level 4 qualification in Financial Planning (or equivalent), and ideally be working towards Chartered status. This role requires a well-rounded professional who is prepared to assist in all aspects of the business, including paraplanning, administration, and client relationship management, with opportunities to develop further within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Manage and develop an existing client portfolio while generating new business opportunities through referrals and networking.
- Financial Planning Advice: Provide holistic, independent financial planning advice across pensions, investments, tax planning, and protection products, ensuring solutions are tailored to individual client needs.
- Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all activities meet the highest compliance standards and that financial advice is delivered in line with FCA regulations and company policy.
- Paraplanning and Administration Support: Assist with all aspects of paraplanning and administration, from report writing to client onboarding, as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other IFAs, paraplanners, and administrators to ensure client needs are met efficiently and effectively.
- Study for Chartered Status: (If applicable) Commitment to continuing professional development by studying towards achieving Chartered Financial Planner status.
- Innovation and Initiative: Proactively contribute to the firm’s growth by identifying new business opportunities and improving internal processes.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (CII or equivalent) is essential. Currently studying for, or committed to studying for, Chartered Financial Planner status is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience within an IFA firm.
- Skills and Competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Proficiency in using financial planning software and tools. Analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Motivated, innovative, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
