Senior Network EngineerVOIP, Cisco, Teams Telephony, MPLS, SD-WAN, MerakiLocation:Southampton or Tunbridge Wells (Hybrid with home working) Salary: c. £42,000 base + bensAre you an experienced Network Engineer passionate about delivering seamless, resilient connectivity across a diverse technology estate? Are you ready to play a pivotal role in shaping network strategies and optimising service delivery for a growing enterprise?About the RoleWe are seeking a talented Network Engineer to join our client's IT function. In this hands-on position, you'll spearhead network infrastructure projects, lead operational excellence, and drive innovation across their multi-site estate. You'll collaborate with stakeholders and managed service providers to ensure outstanding service delivery and continuous network improvement.Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for network infrastructure projects aligned with the Group's technology strategy and standards.
- Oversee day-to-day network operations, troubleshoot issues, and optimise network performance.
- Provide technical expertise in VOIP, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Voice platforms, Teams Telephony, MPLS, SD-WAN, WAN/LAN and Meraki solutions.
- Manage and evaluate relationships with telecommunications vendors and managed service providers (MSPs).
- Identify opportunities for network transformation, cost savings, and technology innovation.
- Maintain compliance with policies, guidelines, and risk management procedures.
Skills & Experience RequiredEssential:
- Strong hands-on expertise with VOIP, Cisco Voice and Call Manager, Microsoft Teams Telephony, MPLS networks, SD-WAN (Software Defined Wide Area Network), and Meraki.
- Deep understanding of WAN, LAN, and network optimisation best practices.
- Experience managing multi-vendor environments and third-party providers
Desirable:
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, Cisco Meraki, or equivalent.
- Experience in large, multi-site or multi-tenant environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL or ITSM frameworks.
