1st / 2nd Line Support Technician (Progression to Helpdesk Team Leader) Fareham, Hampshire £27,000 - £32,000 per year We are seeking a 1st/2nd Line Support Technician to deliver high-quality IT support within a fast-paced software environment. You will support users with hardware and software issues via phone, email, remote access, and in-person interactions, ensuring excellent customer service and minimising downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st/2nd line service desk support
- Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot Windows and hardware systems
- Log, manage, and resolve support tickets in line with SLAs
- Troubleshoot LAN/WAN and TCP/IP networking issues
- Escalate complex issues where required
- Participate in an on-call rota (once competent)
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- 1-2 years\' experience in an IT support role
- Knowledge of EPoS systems, Windows OS, networking, and desktop hardware
- Experience with remote support tools, SQL Server, and Microsoft services
- Strong customer service and communication skills
