Overview
Solution Architect eCommerce (Azure) β Peterborough β Hybrid (2-3 days on site) β 6 months FTC/c. Β£75,000 base + Benefits pro-rata
You will own the end-to-end architecture of a high-impact B2B2C eCommerce platform that supports customers, shaping a modern, secure and scalable Azure-based solution.
Responsibilities
- Define and own a cloud-native eCommerce architecture, ensuring performance, scalability and resilience.
- Lead integration of payments (BACS, Faster Payments, vouchers), third-party APIs and CRM/ERP systems.
- Embed security and compliance (GDPR, PCI DSS, government-level standards) across the platform.
- Act as senior technical authority for stakeholders, driving the technology roadmap and continuous improvement.
Key skills / requirements
- Robust experience in IT architecture, ideally in eCommerce.
- Strong Azure cloud experience plus modern web tech (Blazor/.NET, React/Next.js) and API-first design (REST/GraphQL).
- Expertise in Headless Commerce/MACH or composable architecture.
Desirable
- Energy, charity/not-for-profit or government digital services background; high-compliance environments.
