This Business Manager role sits in the COO office of a global investment bank's technology function and is all about innovation communications and engagement: town halls, tech talks, briefing packs and the narrative behind AI and automation work. You'll connect technology with the wider business across EMEA and beyond, and you'll have an in-house design team to cover templates and visuals. No technology or banking background is needed, just curiosity and strong storytelling. What You'll Be Doing Running innovation engagement events, including tech talks, speaker sessions and leadership town halls, in person and virtually Creating business-focused narratives that showcase AI, automation and innovation work, including short-form video Pulling fragmented initiatives into one coherent story through case studies and executive briefing packs Producing innovation updates and newsletters that turn technical topics into clear business messages Managing a rolling comms and events plan across roughly 3 to 10 concurrent initiatives Partnering with senior stakeholders and supporting leadership with business management and reportingWhat You'll Bring 3-5+ years in business management, chief of staff or internal and executive communications and engagement, with hands-on experience of newsletters, town halls, briefing packs or speaker events Genuine curiosity about how technology works and how it can improve the way a bank operates, with the confidence to get to grips with unfamiliar subjects quickly Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills, including senior and executive audiences Strong storytelling, able to present complex information simply and structurally Strong project management, juggling several initiatives at pace and picking up guidance quicklyDesirable: Financial services experience, culture and employee engagement programmes What's On Offer On conversion to permanent: private medical cover and 24/7 virtual GP access 10% non-contributory pension, with salary sacrifice matching up to a further 2% 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell 5 days Life assurance, income protection and critical illness cover Interest-free season ticket loans, cycle to work, electric car scheme and gym discountsPlease note: This is a strategic communications and engagement role, not an EA, PA or administrative position.
