Technical Business Analyst Hounslow (Hybrid - 50% of the time on site) 12 Month Contract Up to 420 p/d Umbrella Rate - Inside IR35 Do you enjoy turning messy operational problems into requirements an engineering team can build? This Technical Business Analyst contract sits in a team creating airline operations software, the systems that help airlines load aircraft, calculate weight and balance and get every flight away safely and on time. You'll work in Agile product teams alongside Product Managers, Architects, UX Designers, Engineers and airline customers, with a real say in how a complex set of connected products behaves. It's a 12 month contract, hybrid with half your time on site in Hounslow, and AI-assisted tools are part of everyday analysis. What You'll Be Doing Refining business requirements and customer workflows into user stories, business rules, process flows, acceptance criteria and functional specifications Analysing APIs, integrations, data flows and system interactions across interconnected products and services Validating requirements and solution designs with Product Managers, Architects, UX Designers, Engineers, domain experts and customers Supporting backlog refinement, design reviews, functional validation, testing and release readiness Investigating product issues, carrying out root cause analysis and recommending improvements Producing clear specifications, process models, data mappings and decision records What You'll Bring A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field 3+ years in Technical Business Analysis, Business Analysis, Systems Analysis or Product Definition within Agile teams Experience defining functional and technical requirements for enterprise software, with a solid grasp of APIs, integrations and data models Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain complex operational scenarios to technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience using AI-assisted tools for analysis, documentation or solution design Desirable: airline or airport operations (flight operations, weight and balance, load control, baggage or ramp), mission-critical, safety-critical or regulated systems, Postman or SOAP UI, JSON and log analysis, AI-DLC practices, AI-powered or agentic software This role may suit candidates who have held roles including: Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Functional Analyst, Product Analyst, Requirements Analyst, Technical Analyst, Agile Business Analyst, IT Business Analyst #J-18808-Ljbffr
