Science Technician
ScienceTechnician - 35 hours per week, 8:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday, Term timeonly (38 weeks). Grade C Step 1 - ActualAnnual Salary of £20,635.10 (which is the equivalent of a full-time salary of £26,017).
DeerPark School is a new state of the art seven-form secondary school which openedin September 2021. At present there are just under 1,000 students on rollacross Year 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11. We arepart of the RAISE Education Trust which comprises of Deer Park SecondarySchool, Wildern Secondary School and Boorley Park Primary School. We will have a PAN of 1050 when full.

About the role:
Asa Science Technician at Deer Park, you will play a key role in supporting ourdynamic science department and ensuring that students engage in safe,inspiring, and effective practical learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepareand set up equipment for scienceexperiments, demonstrations, and practical lessons.
- Organiseand coordinate practical activities,ensuring lessons run smoothly and efficiently.
- Supportteaching and learning by assistingstaff during practical sessions and contributing to high-quality scienceeducation.
- Maintain,manage, and monitor science equipment and resources, ensuring they are safe, well-organised, and readilyavailable for use.

We’reseeking a candidate with a genuine passion for science and a commitment tostudent success.
Essential skills and qualifications include:
- GCSEin Science (A-Level in Science preferred).
- Goodsubject knowledge and ICT skills.
- Abilityto work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibilityto handle a wide range of tasks and assist in other areas of the school asneeded.
- Excellentorganisational skills, attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy.
- Patience,tact, and diplomacy.
- Abackground in Science or previous laboratory experience is highly desirable.
