What the job involves
- 9fin's Design, Data, Engineering and Product Management (DDEP) department has grown rapidly to more than 100 people across multiple cross-functional product squads, and we are continuing to expand.
- We are seeking a VP of Product to lead our product management organisation. This role will be responsible for all product management across all cross-functional product teams.
- You will partner closely with the CPO on AI product strategy from day one, with increasing ownership as you ramp. The CPO retains direct sponsorship of AI initiatives during the initial transition period to ensure continuity.
- This is a pivotal leadership position at a strategic inflection point. You will bring structure, clarity, and focus to a fast-moving environment, while ensuring teams move with urgency and deliver measurable progress every quarter.
- Reports to: Chief Product Officer.
- You will operate at both strategic altitude and operational depth:
- Own strategic direction and measurable business outcomes across the organization, ensuring strong execution against company goals and market opportunities.
- Continuously evolve how product teams work: planning, rituals, communication, tooling, so ambiguity falls away and execution accelerates.
- Champion clarity in decisions using the 9fin Product Principles as your operating foundation.
- Mentor and grow product leaders through coaching, direct feedback, and elevating product craft across discovery, delivery, and measurement.
- Enhance customer understanding via systematic win/loss insights, persona depth, and market learning loops that guide strategic bets.
- Strengthen product operating rhythm. Build processes that enable teams to move faster, make high-quality decisions, and deliver outcomes with urgency; reduce noise and increase the tempo of execution.
- Build tight alignment with Go-to-Market teams to accelerate trials, onboarding, retention, and expansion based on demonstrable workflow value.
- Improve end-to-end workflow delivery with Legal, Content, and Data Ops to simplify complex information and boost customer confidence.
- Drive measurable improvements in adoption and engagement to drive new business, expansion and retention.
