Requirements

  • You combine technical expertise in application and software development with a consultative, collaborative mindset.
  • You're comfortable presenting to senior technical teams and skilled at translating complex requirements into practical, high-impact solutions.
  • You contribute confidently to technical discussions while knowing when to seek additional expertise.
  • Solution Architecture experience in technical consultancy or client-facing roles within custom software development and cloud technologies, with hands-on experience in pre-sales solution architecture and RFx processes as the solution lead.
  • Architecture experience across multiple technology stacks and cloud platforms (we value breadth over single-vendor expertise).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience building trust and influence across all organisational levels. This should be supported by strong written, numerical and presentation skills using Office 365 or similar office productivity suites.
  • Ability to guide multidisciplinary, distributed teams through complex pre-sales engagements.

  • Our Applications Engineering practice enables clients to evolve beyond legacy systems and harness the power of modern software. We accelerate business value delivery through collaborative, multidisciplinary teams spanning Architecture, Development, Platforms, and DevOps.
  • As a Pre-Sales Solution Architect, you'll collaborate with our sales and business development teams throughout the pre-sales process. From initial client engagement through requirements discovery, solution design, and proposal development, you'll help shape technical solutions for application modernisation, integration, digital experience platforms and cloud-native applications.
  • You'll serve as the bridge between client needs, our commercial objectives, and our delivery teams, ensuring technical excellence and clear differentiation in every engagement. This will be evident in the quality of our solutions and proposals.
  • A key focus area involves championing AI-enabled capabilities and tools across the software development lifecycle. You'll engage with clients to showcase our offerings and guide technical demonstrations in this exciting space.
  • You will also work with partners and internal COEs to help us continuously evolve our offerings and capability.
  • You'll also contribute to leading our UK&I application modernisation and help to refine our go-to-market strategy while aligning with our global vision.
  • Shape technical solutions through proactive engagement and formal RFx activities, working closely with sales teams and client technology groups.
  • Engage with clients to explore how technology can streamline applications and enhance software delivery.
  • Design robust architectures that address specific client challenges while leveraging our accelerators, intellectual property, and partner capabilities.
  • Create compelling materials including technical proposals, architecture blueprints, solution presentations, and client-facing documentation.
  • Facilitate pre-sales activities such as client workshops, technical demonstrations, proof of concepts, and proposal development.
  • Build lasting relationships with key stakeholders and technology partners (Microsoft, AWS, GitHub, Google, and others).
  • Collaborate effectively with distributed teams, balancing technical, commercial, and client engagement priorities.
