Know Your PHP Inside Out

Make sure you brush up on your PHP skills, especially with PHP 8.0+. Be ready to discuss your experience with modern frameworks like Symfony or Laravel, and have examples of projects where you've used them. This will show that you’re not just familiar with the language but can also apply it effectively.

Showcase Your Testing Skills

Since strong automatic testing skills are desirable, be prepared to talk about your experience with unit, integration, and functional testing. Bring examples of how you've implemented testing in your previous projects, especially using tools like Behat or PHPUnit. This will demonstrate your commitment to quality and reliability.

Demonstrate Ownership and Autonomy

The role requires a high degree of ownership, so think of instances where you've taken charge of a project or feature. Be ready to explain how you approached challenges independently and what the outcomes were. This will highlight your ability to work autonomously while still being a team player.

Be Ready for Collaborative Discussions

Since the team values collaboration, prepare to discuss how you’ve worked in teams before. Think about how you’ve contributed to architectural discussions or collaborated on complex problems. Showing that you’re eager to learn and share knowledge will resonate well with the interviewers.
