  • ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified or equivalent qualification
  • UK corporate tax experience, ideally within the Real Estate, Not‑for‑Profit or Public sector
  • Experience of monitoring junior team members' work and coaching / career development
  • (Desirable) Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation, ideally within the Real Estate, Not‑for‑Profit or Public sector
  • (Desirable) Reviewed work and supervised people in a tax environment
  • (Desirable) Gained experience working within a professional services environment
  • (Desirable) Managed a large portfolio of tax clients
  • (Desirable) Demonstrable business development experience
  • (Desirable) Eagerness to develop deep knowledge of the firm's services and capabilities

What the job involves

  • Advising a broad range of Not‑for‑Profit and Public Sector clients on a range of tax issues, covering compliance and advisory projects
  • Actively involved in client meetings, concisely and confidently answering client queries
  • Engender trust and respect from clients by producing high‑quality tax advice accurately, delivering on expectations and deadlines
  • Lead from the front in delivering client work, engaging with wider Tax teams to ensure correct skill utilisation on all projects
  • Take responsibility for developing junior team members, understanding their career aspirations and supporting them in this delivery
  • Provide intelligent and creative solutions to client tax issues both reactively and proactively, taking an active approach to cross‑selling wider solutions for other teams around the GT network
  • Drive pitch and proposals, actively growing the business by being present in the market and demonstrating our capabilities to clients and targets
