- A Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Arenko is a technical role responsible for designing and building new AWS infrastructure alongside the software teams and maintaining the operational excellence of our existing infrastructure on the AWS platform.
- The role involves day-to-day management of our AWS infrastructure, supporting and collaborating with software development teams, considering costs and implementing long-term strategic projects to ensure our platform fits Arenko’s future needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and cost-effective AWS cloud architectures.
- Implement infrastructure solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, ECS, Lambda, etc.
- Take the lead on key projects, helping to define the appropriate architecture and deliver within timelines and cost constraints.
- Utilise Terraform to automate the provisioning, deployment, and management of infrastructure resources.
- Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate infrastructure deployments.
- Streamline operational tasks through scripting and automation, enhancing efficiency and reliability.
- Play a role in defining best practice, tooling and ways of working to ensure that we continuously improve.
- Monitor AWS infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations for cost and performance.
- Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and other monitoring tools.
- Conduct periodic reviews of infrastructure to identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
- Implement security best practices and compliance standards in AWS environments.
- Configure IAM roles, policies, and permissions to ensure least privilege access.
- Take the lead on key projects, managing stakeholders, gathering requirements and updating the business on progress.
- Help to facilitate team processes and meetings where appropriate, delegating for the Team Lead when needed.
