Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Tax experience in a corporate tax department in a similar role either within an accounting firm or in-house tax function
  • Experience in UK corporate taxes is essential
  • Knowledge of tax reporting systems and processes for UK direct and indirect taxes
  • Ability to business partner with a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally
  • Effective in communicating with colleagues across the Group and with third party advisers
  • Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail and diligent approach
  • Good knowledge of Alphatax or similar UK tax software system
  • Ability to work proactively within a team environment

What the job involves

  • This role is within the Group Tax team working alongside the Finance team and responsible for a broad range of tax issues focusing on the UK Group with oversight of Europe, Middle East and Asia helping to ensure the Group’s tax affairs are efficient and compliant
  • Tax support for the UK operations on new contracts and projects
  • UK corporate tax and VAT returns
  • Implementation of group transfer pricing policies
  • Tax reporting for the Group consolidation and UK companies
  • Cash tax forecasting and modelling for the Group
  • Co-ordination of tax advisers in Europe, Middle East and Asia
