Requirements

  • You have 7+ years of product management experience, with significant time spent building platforms, foundations, or developer-facing capabilities.
  • You’ve led platform investments where the payoff was leverage, not just features.
  • You are comfortable operating at an architectural level.
  • You understand:
    • Mobile architectures (including React Native environments)
    • API-driven systems and backend integration
    • Navigation, state and journey orchestration
    • Authentication, authorisation and secure client actions
  • You can challenge technical decisions constructively and translate complexity for non-technical audiences.
  • You instinctively look for opportunities to standardise, abstract and enable.
  • You understand the tension between urgent delivery and long-term platform health - and know how to navigate it without losing trust.
  • You’ve delivered outcomes in matrix organisations with competing priorities, regulatory constraints and high expectations.
  • You can align stakeholders, make hard prioritisation calls and move forward in ambiguity.
  • You care deeply about shipping real outcomes. You’re rigorous, data-informed and pragmatic, with strong attention to detail in areas that matter - especially trust-critical flows.

What the job involves

  • As Ebury scales globally, we are evolving from a delivery-led organisation into a platform-led product company - building shared foundations that allow teams to move faster, operate safely in regulated environments and deliver high-quality client experiences across channels.
  • Mobile at Ebury is mission-critical: it underpins payment approvals, multi-factor authentication and trust-sensitive client actions.
  • We are now investing in mobile as a true product platform.
  • This role exists to redefine how mobile is built, extended and scaled at Ebury - transforming the app into a platform that enables product teams to deliver mobile journeys quickly and safely.
  • In the near term, mobile will continue to play a critical role in authentication and approvals. Longer-term, it becomes a primary strategic channel for Ebury - supporting offline authentication, regulatory workflows such as periodic reviews and RFIs and experiences for indirect and partner-driven clients.
  • This is a senior, high-impact role where you will own the mobile platform strategy end-to-end, balancing urgent delivery needs with the long-term goal of unlocking leverage across the organisation.
  • Own the long-term vision for mobile as a platform at Ebury. Define what should be built once and reused many times, how mobile capabilities should be exposed to product teams and how mobile fits into Ebury’s broader platform ecosystem.
  • Translate this vision into a clear, credible roadmap that balances immediate trust-critical use cases with foundational platform investment.
  • Lead the development of core mobile platform capabilities, including:
    • Modular, composable mobile journeys
    • Shared UI components and mobile design systems
    • Navigation and journey orchestration frameworks
    • Platform abstractions that reduce reliance on specialised mobile engineers
  • Your work will directly reduce mobile delivery bottlenecks and enable teams outside the mobile function to ship mobile experiences with confidence.
  • Mobile engineering expertise should not be a constraint on product velocity. You will design platform capabilities, patterns and interfaces that allow core product and growth teams to contribute to mobile outcomes without deep mobile-specific knowledge.
  • This is not about removing engineers from the loop - it’s about changing the shape of the work so mobile becomes a leverage layer, not a dependency.
  • Represent multiple audiences:
    • Clients using mobile for high-trust, high-frequency actions
    • Product teams building journeys on top of the mobile platform
    • Engineers maintaining and evolving the underlying foundations
  • You will balance customer experience, developer experience and operational safety - making deliberate trade-offs explicit and understood.
  • Act as the clear product voice for mobile platform strategy. Ensure senior leadership, product teams and engineering partners understand where mobile is heading, why platform investment matters and how it unlocks business outcomes.
  • You will bridge deep technical detail with commercial and regulatory context.
  • Own the success metrics for the mobile platform, including:
    • Mobile adoption and MAU
    • Consistency and quality of mobile journeys
    • Platform reuse and leverage across teams
    • Client trust, sophistication and stickiness
  • Use these signals to guide prioritisation and continuous improvement.
