We are looking for an exceptional Solution Engineer to join the Global Public Sector (GPS) Solution Engineering team, focused on the UKI Government segment. Based in the UK, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to our customers – understanding their goals and challenges through focused discovery and mapping them back to the Salesforce solution portfolio to position Salesforce as a strategic partner. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, contribute to go‑to‑market strategy, and help drive opportunities to close alongside aligned sales teams.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives and cross‑functional specialists to design innovative, story‑driven solutions tailored to the challenges faced by Central Government and Public Sector organisations, built on the Salesforce platform.
- Lead technical discovery and present customised demonstrations aligned with business value and solution differentiation to a range of stakeholders, from line staff through to C‑level executives.
- Contribute to RFP/RFI submissions by coordinating response themes, ownership, and co‑creation of executive summaries alongside the broader account team.
- Maintain current knowledge of the Salesforce platform through ongoing training and certifications, and participate in internal enablement, SME programmes, and cross‑team collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in pre‑sales, implementation, or post‑sales support within enterprise technology, with strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities in a fast‑paced, team‑selling environment.
- Prior experience working with or within Central Government, Government Agencies, or Public Sector organisations.
- Knowledge of or background in healthcare or government technology use cases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands‑on experience with Salesforce products including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Health Cloud, Platform, Experience Cloud, or industry clouds such as Vlocity/OmniStudio.
- Salesforce certifications (such as Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant, or Service Cloud Consultant) or demonstrable Salesforce administrator/technical experience beyond end‑user level.
- Previous experience in a pre‑sales role such as Solution Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Solutions Consultant.
- Consulting or professional services experience implementing or configuring Salesforce solutions.
