What the job involves
The Senior Solution Architect within Tipalti’s Professional Services organization is responsible for driving solution excellence, establishing integration architecture standards, and ensuring successful delivery outcomes for complex ERP integrations. This role owns the end-to-end solution design for non-prebuilt ERP use cases — defining integration patterns, ensuring technical scalability, and guiding PS delivery teams through implementation.
You will work directly with customers, partners, Sales, Product, and Engineering to translate business requirements into robust, scalable architectures and serve as the technical authority and escalation point for complex solution scenarios.
- Own integration architecture for all non-prebuilt ERP use cases, defining patterns, standards, and approaches that scale across customer implementations
- Analyze client requirements and solution constraints and convert them into solution blueprints, integration designs, data mapping models, and workflow patterns
- Author and own technical SOW creation, including scope, solution boundaries, integration assumptions, and architectural guardrails for delivery teams
- Develop solution documentation and reference architecture assets to ensure repeatability, consistency, and predictable delivery outcomes
- Serve as a technical escalation point during delivery to unblock complex ERP integration challenges and support cross-functional resolution
- Partner with Sales on high-impact solution reviews and late-stage escalations to remove blockers, de-risk delivery, and accelerate revenue realization
- Conduct API payload validation and integration pattern testing to ensure technical feasibility and alignment before build
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to feed field learnings into integration strategy and prioritization (moderate emphasis)
- Mentor and guide Implementation Consultants and Integration Specialists, providing technical coaching, enablement sessions, and delivery pattern reinforcement
- Represent ERP domain depth within PS, bringing thought leadership in integration architecture, security considerations, and AP automation patterns
