What the job involves

FTSE Russell is seeking a highly skilled DevOps & Environment Manager to lead the automation, configuration, deployment, and operational excellence of end-to-end environments in our AWS-based cloud ecosystem. You will establish standards, build the tooling and frameworks to spin up/down environments reliably, ensure integrated post-deployment checks are executed consistently, and oversee monitoring & alerting with low noise and high fidelity.

  • Establish environment strategy and standards across AWS
  • Automate environment setup, teardown, and configuration using IaC
  • Integrate automated post-deployment validation and health checks into CI/CD
  • Build monitoring and alerting with minimal false positives
  • Manage and mentor DevOps engineers
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams
  • Ensure operational excellence and secure, scalable cloud environments
  • Deliver end-to-end environment lifecycle automation
  • Create templates and standards for consistent environment creation
  • Build monitoring dashboards, pipelines, and alerting rules
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure provisioning and deployments
  • Ensure environments meet security and compliance standards
  • Lead root-cause analysis and implement preventative automation
