What the job involves
Design (UX) is a core differentiator at Redgate. This role exists to help us discover customer needs, explore and test product ideas, and deliver simple yet innovative solutions to complex challenges for database professionals. As a Product Designer, you’ll be embedded in a cross‑functional, agile team, working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Technical Leads to solve complex problems for data professionals.
You’ll play an active role across the full product lifecycle from discovery through to delivery and iteration, owning design decisions and championing a customer‑centred mindset. Responsibilities include:
- Designing workflows, interfaces, and interactions from prototype to production
- Leading and contributing to research activities using qualitative and quantitative methods
- Collaborating closely with engineers to ensure design intent is carried through delivery
- Iterating on existing solutions through testing, measurement, and insight
- Contributing to and evolving a shared design system
