What the job involves
You’ll take a leading role in delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects across the nuclear and power sector. Expect to:
- Lead the design, analysis and optimisation of electrical systems throughout nuclear project lifecycles, from feasibility studies and concept through FEED and Detailed Design
- Produce and review feasibility studies, calculations, models, technical reports, specifications and drawings
- Provide specialist consultancy advice on power station medium and high voltage apparatus
- Support construction, installation, commissioning and operational maintenance activities
- Designing and substantiating MV/LV power distribution networks; specifying Electrical plant and equipment to meet process objectives
- Delivery of plant assessments and life extension studies to help clients make critical investment decisions
- Act as a responsible technical leader - guiding teams, reviewing design work, managing technical risk, change control and driving excellence
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary colleagues and build strong, trusted relationships with clients
- Contribute to bids, proposals and safety initiatives, alongside supporting recruitment efforts and providing mentorship to early-career engineers to help grow capability across the team
