Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic and Electronic Engineering (or related) with progress toward (or interest in) professional registration
  • A developing understanding of delivering electrical engineering design in regulated or complex environments, working as part of a team executing multidisciplinary design engineering projects
  • Strong communicator with solid technical judgement and the ability to produce clear, high quality designs and reports
  • Collaborative, adaptable, proactive and comfortable working across disciplines and stepping into new challenges
  • Committed to safety, quality and continuous learning

What the job involves

You’ll provide electrical engineering expertise in delivering complex, high-impact engineering projects across the nuclear and power sector. Expect to:

  • Develop requirements, specifications and design deliverables (feasibility, concept, FEED and detailed design), including calculations, modelling, reports and drawings
  • Design and substantiate MV/LV power distribution networks; specify electrical plant and equipment to meet process objectives
  • Provide holistic electrical engineering input across system studies, design assurance and safety-critical decision making
  • Support construction, installation, commissioning and operations, including condition monitoring and asset management
  • Contribute to safety and assurance activities (e.g., HAZOP, HAZAN, FMEA), test witnessing, and design reviews
  • Some travel to client sites and secure facilities will be required
