This includes well established products such as Taper-LokTM flanges, RetlockTM Diverless connection systems, MQC stab-plates, Bend Stiffener Connectors, ROV tooling and much more. The Project Engineer will support subsea controls and umbilical projects from bid stage through delivery - providing technical authority across hydraulic and electrical controls, project planning, documentation, client liaison, and onsite execution. An ideal candidate will have 5 - 10 years of experience and will have an in-depth knowledge of subsea production and controls distribution equipment. This role will be based in Aberdeen however depending on project requirements, travel around the UK and globally will be required.
Key Responsibilities- Reporting to the Field Services Manager supporting the delivery of subsea controls systems (new-build, modifications, and refurbishments) and subsea umbilical scopes from bid stage to delivery. Based in the DTUK Aberdeen Facility.
- Plan projects, provide & contribute to supporting related documents such as risk assessments, HIRA’s, procedures, etc.
- Liaise with client contacts for project kick offs as and when required;
- Support the projects through the site execution phase.
- Support the Aberdeen Facility supervisor planning the connected scopes and resources.
- Support sales team with enquiries & proposals through to PO.
- Provide engineering & project support with experience in a controls background.
- A hands-on multi-tasking role providing technical authority on Hydraulic & electrical controls related ops.
- Specifying build standards, planning the assembly and testing of umbilical bundle assemblies & testing, writing building & testing procedures and specifications, supporting operations through to the site as PE.
- Travel to and from sites in support of projects including all company locations as required.
- Tracking project P&L.
The successful candidate should be degree qualified in an engineering related field with at least 10 years systems engineering experience and extensive knowledge of specifications and the delivery of subsea production systems and controls distribution equipment. An understanding of offshore oil and gas contracting, subsea infrastructure and assembly and testing processes will be essential.
