The predicted salary is between 29700 - 36300 £ per year.

As a Cost Controller, you will be a member of the Finance Department.

Your main responsibilities will be to provide a proactive cost management service for both internal and external clients and assist with Deep Ocean financial reporting within Deep Ocean’s guidelines and procedures.

This position is offered on a fixed-term basis as maternity cover until the end of 2027.

What will you do in this position?

  • Preparation of client cost reports for assigned projects.
  • Preparation of sales invoices & follow up of aged debt.
  • Review and approval of vendor costs.
  • Input into preparation of variation order requests as required by Project Team.
  • Creation of project budget as handed over from Tendering Department.
  • Monthly profit & loss reporting & forecasting for assigned projects including preparation & posting of project accruals and variance analysis.
  • Highlight in timely manner any areas of concern for potential cost overrun.
  • Review of final project costs v As Sold and feedback variances to Tendering Department to promote improvement.
  • Support client & internal audits as required.
  • Financial input to monthly project reviews with Senior Management.
  • Your background and competence
  • To master this position, you should ideally have the following background:
  • Project cost control experience.
  • Project accounting knowledge & experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience of using ERP systems.
  • Degree qualified in Finance or Business Studies is preferable.
