At DeepL, we\’re on an exciting adventure to expand our operations to match our ambitious growth plans. At the heart of this journey is our wider Sales team, a cornerstone of DeepL\’s market expansion and customer engagement strategy.
The successful candidate will be the local technical expert and strategic advisor to our customers and bridge the gap between DeepL’s technical features and the customer’s desired outcomes, ultimately driving adoption and satisfaction. Our Solutions Consultants are a global group of product experts who work hand in hand with our Account Executives, ensuring every customer’s technical needs are met. Through regular knowledge exchange across regions, they stay at the forefront of innovation, ready to guide our larger SME and Enterprise clients alike.
Your Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic advisor to prospects and clients, shaping their overall vision for DeepL’s solutions while ensuring alignment between business goals and technical requirements throughout the pre-sales process.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Account Executives to guide complex sales cycles, translating deep technical insights into strategic business outcomes.
- Develop and present tailored product presentations, demos and prototypes to showcase DeepL\’s capacity to eliminate language barriers, leveraging your technical expertise for seamless integrations with various SaaS and iPaaS platforms
- Simplify complex technical information into clear, actionable insights, ensuring stakeholders fully understand how DeepL fits into their ecosystem
- Conduct comprehensive technical evaluations — from scoping and executing proofs of concept, responding to RFPs, and facilitating workshops — to guide prospects toward successful adoption and measurable impact for both API and enterprise engagements.
- Develop, manage, and deliver (enablement) tools, training resources, and dashboards to keep Sales and Customer teams up-to-date on emerging product capabilities
- Collect and share market and product feedback with Marketing and Product teams, influencing roadmap priorities and shaping open-source developer offerings.
- Foster strong client partnerships by advocating for customers’ strategic vision with DeepL through hands-on technical support, continuous engagement, remote and on-site sessions, ensuring high satisfaction and long-term solution adoption.
Qualities we look for
- 4+ years of professional of client-facing pre-sales, sales engineering, software implementation or account management experience at a SaaS company
- Previous hands-on experience with customer evaluations and deployments
- Technical knowledge covering REST APIs and SSO frameworks (Azure/OpenID)
- You enjoy leading complex technical projects and programs with many stakeholders
- Ability to rapidly learn, understand, and work with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions
- You have a base of knowledge of IT questionnaires, security and compliance questionnaires, and are comfortable working on RFIs/RFPs
- Excited about joining a scale-up where not everything is figured out. We move fast and are actively building the playbook, and we must shift priorities and adapt dynamically to new situations
- Fluency in German and English, and additional language(s) desired (French, Italian, or Japanese preferred)
