Your Responsibilities:
- Design, maintain, and optimize complex distributed systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Act as the Kubernetes administrator for our team, managing and troubleshooting our environments.
- Develop and implement monitoring solutions to ensure system reliability and adherence to defined SLOs.
- Engage in on-call rotations, responding to incidents and contributing to post-mortem analyses.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and solving problems proactively.
What You Bring To The Table:
- Proven experience in maintaining and designing complex systems, with a strong foundation in distributed systems and low-level interactions.
- Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, including a deep understanding of its abstractions and the ability to apply them effectively.
- Professional experience in Python or Go, combined with a solid background in Software Engineering and System Design.
- Demonstrated ability to build and implement monitoring solutions that ensure operational excellence.
- A self-motivated and adaptable mindset, with a knack for problem-solving across various domains.
- Excellent communication skills, allowing you to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You'd get bonus points for:
- Experience with public cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure management.
- Familiarity with components of our tech stack, including Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry, PagerDuty, ArgoCD, FastAPI, Redis, RabbitMQ, and Postgres.
- Previous on-call experience, demonstrating your ability to handle incidents effectively and learn from them.
